Back in the saddle

In the grand tradition of slackers everywhere, once I stopped doing the blog it was easier to stay listless than it was to start back up again. That must be, like, the law of conservation of wasted energy. Maybe I was just going through a phase where I was pining for entropy, but I think the real reason was a mix of low desire and high responsibility.

I spent much of the past 6 weeks at home with Raelyn, caring for her every need and watching her make the turn from newborn into infant. I could never have imagined that kids are this cool.

So now I’m back at work and things are exciting. The TV business is very hectic, especially at close range, but I’m really enjoying my new position.

After the vacation to Hawaii, Jenn and I are swimming in pictures which we are trying dilligently to sort and process. Expect a spate of new photos on the site in the next 10 days and, if not, keep waiting. Travelling across the globe with an infant to a tropical paradise, returning, putting that same child in daycare for the first time, both returning to work for the first time in 4 months and then trying to get your life back is a daunting task. So was (is) writing and reading that sentence.

I think this is why I haven’t posted in a while. The always effervescent and cop-outish “busy” excuse. Oh well, maybe it was better to say nothing than to bitch about not having the time to write “I don’t have the time to write”.
