Touareg, and the pronunciation thereof

So Jenn and I are having an ongoing discussion about the pronunciation of the name of VW’s newest SUV, the Touareg. I’m pronouncing it something like the astrological sign Taurus and she’s saying it more like the Tour de France. Any ideas who’s right? Those wacky German engineers and their 4-out-of-5-vowel-having car names. :-p

    I’m pretty sure Jenn is right, but for the life of me I can’t think of why I would think that. Didn’t they pronounce it on some commercial?

    (although, since I have TiVo, I have no excuse to watch any commercials)
