Part Mop. Part Puppet. All Crazy.
So the Pittsburgh band Mr. Devious (MySpace page) was so incensed that a Fox announcer mis-pronounced the name of Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu they wrote a song about it. Actually, they just took the Muppet classic Mahna Mahna and tinkered with out a bit, making light of the butchering of “Polamalu” and created “Puhlahmahlu”. Lucky for all of us, someone synched the song up with the original video and put it on YouTube or you can download just the song.
It’s really a clever re-imaging/remix of the Muppet classic with a contemporary and apropos sports reference. I’m no Steelers fan (though I always cheer for UGA’s Hines Ward and Verron Haynes), but this is definitely making me want to wear gold and black on Super Sunday.
Plus, the other music I’ve heard from Mr. Devious seems very cool and this is just another reason to like what they do.

I don't really blog that much about Muppets, despite the URL, and focus mainly on Lost, etymology and whatever else strikes my fancy
