A prayer for Jeff Ingram

A prayer for Jeff Ingram:

Psalm 121

A song of ascents. I raise my eyes toward the mountains. From where will my help come?
My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.
God will not allow your foot to slip; your guardian does not sleep.
Truly, the guardian of Israel never slumbers nor sleeps.
The LORD is your guardian; the LORD is your shade at your righthand.
By day the sun cannot harm you, nor the moon by night.
The LORD will guard you from all evil, will always guard your life.
The LORD will guard your coming and going both now and forever.

My younger brother Thad works as the general manager of the Brick Yard Restaurant in Newnan, GA and Jeff Ingram was the owner/operator. Jeff passed away early this morning at the age of 31.

Not long from his 32nd birthday. Hours before the birth of his second child (delivered by C-section but due not long from today).

I’m certainly not the right person to be asking this, but pray for him.

Pray for his wife Trish and his two children.
Pray for his family.
Pray for his friends and co-workers, my brother Thad among them.

Too early.
Too soon.
Too suddenly.

Pray (even if that’s not your thing).

Pray because I’m asking you to.

Hug someone close to you.
Kiss them extra tonight.
Tuck them in tight.

Thanks.
