For the first time ever (thank you, new laptop) I was able to log in to Second Life, walk around, fly and briefly chat with some folks.

Not quite sure how much I’d “play” or hang out there – the learning curve and range of possibilities are both fairly steep – but it is interesting.

Check out my encounter with this “Eye of Sauron” installation. Sorry, I forgot which island this was on.

I’m “Seth Martinkovic” in Second Life, by the way.

On the to-do list:

• Update my appearance with some cooler clothes
• Buy some land
• Sell my “book” in-game
• Find other Atlantans in Second Life
