I caught the highlight reel of Kermit serving as Grand Marshall of the Homecoming festivities at Michigan State this past weekend while flipping between college football games.

I guess since The Spartans and Kermit are both green, it made sense.

I’m actually quite surprised that Jim Henson’s alma mater, the University of Maryland, hasn’t had a Muppet mascot made or at least honored one of them during Homecoming.

Although they do have a nifty statue of Henson and Kermit on campus.

Either way, Kermit got his due despite the Spartan loss.
