If you have about an hour to kill today (or sometime soon) you should really watch On the Edge of Blade Runner.
It’s a BBC/Channel 4 documentary on the genesis, production, filming and distribution of the movie Blade Runner. There’s a good bit of backstory as well as a great deleted scene, some awesome discussion of set direction and visual production as well as some great insights into Hollywood.
If you ever watched a bad VHS copy of a purported Director’s Cut sans Harrison Ford’s narration or stayed up late to watch replicants on HBO (and what child of the 80’s didn’t?) then this is right up your alley.
