So Father’s Day was sunny, extremely hot and totally relaxing.
I did nothing at all productive (unless you count swimming with Raelyn, which is great bonding) and I enjoyed good beer. That’s a win in my book.
Beer tally:
- Samuel Adams Hefeweizen
- Samuel Adams Summer Ale
- Genesee Cream Ale
- Sweetwater Road Trip
All I did was float, occasionally swim with Raelyn and throw her around a little bit, and sip my beer. I was so relaxed I wouldn’t even describe myself as drinking, I sipped.
I got a great home-made (school-made, more accurately) card from Raelyn, a great book from my in-laws and the most meaningful hug from my wife. What more could a Dad ask for?
Well, lucky me, I get to do it all again next weekend. My brother and his new son (Lars, who is just a month old) will be in town and I’ll be spending the entire weekend (not just a day) floating in their pool and sipping beer and enjoying fatherhood.
I really do love the Summer and I can’t wait to start this whole ride all over again when Stinkbottom gets here.
I wish Sweetwater would keep the Road Trip year round.
Thats some good stuff (and th Adams Summer Ale is phenomenal also).
Road Trip is a rare treat. Refreshing and different.
The Genesee was a crap-shoot and it’s not horrible, but the Sam Adams are both solid.
