Casual fans can piss/moan/whine/bitch about not getting to the BCS Championship Game (THE BCS Bowl?) but any season in which UGA goes to the Sugar Bowl is an incredible success in my eyes (a graduate and lover of all things Bulldog/Athenian). Mythical National Championships are few and far between (ask Ohio State after they lose for a second straight time/year to the SEC) but memories of the fall are forever.
I’ll never forget:
- The celebration in Jacksonville
- The blackout in Athens
- The 7th in a row against Tech
- Soulja Boy just about every other time I turned around (even Verne Lundquist got in on it)
And I don’t care if the Dawgs win it all in any given year or go winless (not 100% true) but I’ll always cheer for them, just like I did in my Glee Club days.
