Good on you!

You should totally do a class (I got so much out of them), but even if you don't you can come out to an APG shoot night and Paulie (like how I volunteer others?) and I can take turns telling you all we know. I'm also happy to share class notes with ya (some from Beth for the 101 that I didn't take and mine from 102).

Yeah, I'd love to shoot in RAW but I don't think it's going to happen any time soon.

Too many changes to our workflow in the shooting and processing (digitally) process.

Shooting in RAW is one of the main reasons I want a DSLR. I haven’t had the opportunity to work on a RAW file before. However, I’m unimpressed by the in-camera processing of any of the digital point-and-shoots I have ever owned. This includes Kodak, Casio, Fuji, Panasonic, Canon and most recently Nikon. (I’ve owned enough to buy at least two decent DSLRs.) So, the greater control in post-processing really appeals to me.

Of course, the other reason for a DSLR is all those tasty lenses.

Have fun in Maui. Hope you get to shoot in the RAW.
