Yeah, I was probably a tad bit harsh on both the Scotch Ale and the Milk Stout, because I enjoyed them both.

I like Scotch Ales and Brown Ales, just not in the Winter time. And I'm a fan of *any* stout, I just thought it was a bit cold (the beer not the weather, which was pleasant last Monday.

Also, my previous comment should read "immaculate conception" instead of "divine intervention". Sunday School, FTL!

Well Met Seth.

Glad to say I'm no longer a newbie/virgin to MNB and it will not be last either. I must agree with you on the EyePA being a great IPA (I'm not a hoppy guy, but really enjoyed the Eye). However, my favorite was the Scotch Ale and probably because I do enjoy the subtlety of brown ales. The Milk Stout had a bit much carbonation for me, but a really good brew nonetheless. These guys are onto something good and I was glad to be able to take part in it.

The Eye Patch Ale really caught my palette. It reminds me of the now-defunct Dogwood Ale that I loved and miss so much. Something about the floral quality and the sweetness of the malt balanced by the hops really does it for me.

As for Brad, you'd be surprised at how few married men have children via divine intervention like the two of us. Striking up that conversation was like falling off a log.

Glad to have you, Seth. But more glad that your lovechild, Eye Patch Ale, didn't disappoint.

Love how you characterized Brad as a fellow newbie/virgin, as if to point out that not only were you both newcomers, but also literal virgins. I'm wondering how you managed to broach that subject in conversation...
