Today’s beer: Altbayrisch Dunkel
This one is really fun since Dunkel isn’t a style many craft brewers produce AND it’s the perfect dark lager for a rainy, cold night in Georgia.
(To tell the truth it’s not as cold outside as it could/should be, but if the beer is cellar temperature to match the outdoors, that’s fine by me.)
I really enjoyed this one – both the style and this particular example1 – as they seem like a nice match for my expectations of what I’d be drinking in a German beer Advent calendar.
Whatever that means.
