Brewer’s Advent Calendar 2017: Day Fourteen

Today’s beer: Huber Weisses Original

One of the best beers so far and one of my favorite German styles.

A refreshing Hefeweizen isn’t really seasonally appropriate but it was enjoyable.

I made sure to get all the yeast out of the can and it occurred to me that I don’t think I’ve had a canned Hefeweizen before. Normally I swirl some water in the bottle to get the yeast out of the can, so I did the same thing here as you can see from the picture.

The whole experience seems like the dictionary definition of a Hefeweizen: cloudy body, foamy head, and bananas & cloves taste.

And if you’ll closely at the picture in the post, there’s a fun little snail logo that explains the beer was “slow brewed”. Clever.

Practically perfect in every way!

Prost!
