Part Mop. Part Puppet. All Crazy.
After falling off the wagon over the weekend, Jenn and I continued our
descent into obesity by eating dinner at Roaster’s followed by dessert
at Bruster’s. My folks drove up from Newnan to show off pictures of
their trip to Costa Rica. After seeing evidence that my Mother survived
a canopy tour and white water rafting, we were both impressed and
jealous. We’re seriously considering planning a trip to Central America
now.
So I guess tonight is the night we get back to good habits. The bills
are done, so that’s one less thing to worry about. Maybe we’ll walk the
trail and watch the Braves tonight.
I am a complete slacker. I didn’t bother to diet, let alone record my
progress (or lack thereof) on WebMD. I just lounged in the Savitska’s
pool for two days. My back is sunburned because I’m too lazy to reapply
sunscreen after I get wet. I am pathetic.
Now I’m worn out from all the inactivity. The sun and the alcohol have
zapped all my energy and I can feel my heavy eyelids trying to close as
I type.
In other news, Jenn’s brother and sister-in-law will be in town next
weekend, so we’re postponing our Tampa trip one week. Jen and Matt
don’t mind, and I’ve stopped the paperwork here at work in order to
change the date.
One last thing: I don’t update on the weekend. Not just this lazy
weekend, but any weekend. I think I’m going to make that a new policy
and update my FAQ.
I just signed up to participate with the folks at ASI in the Promina Corporate Challenge.
We’ll see on September 26 if all the basketball and walking improves my
performance.
I’ve stated here in a previous post that I’d love to have the domain
craptacular.com. I bring this up because a co-worker and I got into a
discussion about The Simpsons today. Nothing is more sacred than two
guys discussing The Simpsons, and naturally the talk turned to great
quotes.
I offered up Bart’s “craptacular” and Groundskeeper Willy’s
“Bonjourrrrrr ya cheese-eatin’ surrender-monkeys!” as my top two. My
co-worker went for the ubiquitous Homer quotes “D’oh!” and “Mmmmmm”.
Seeing as how the Oxford English Dictionary has recognized “D’oh” as an
actual phrase while “craptacular continues to languish in mild
obscurity, I think his are better.
Although Willy’s quote does rock.
For anyone that ever loved Legos, especially the “action figures” that
were included in some sets, this is for you. The site was featured on
last night’s episode of TechTV’s The Screen Savers.
You're reading Mostly Muppet the personal blog of Seth Miller [About].
I don't really blog that much about Muppets, despite the URL, and focus mainly on Lost, etymology and whatever else strikes my fancy
