Stevie Wonder on Sesame Street

The performance is actually from several years prior to my time here on Earth, but it still merits a look and listen.

Stevie really was ahead of his time. He’s an amazing musician, performer and person and his interpretation of the Sesame Street theme still sounds contemporary and funky over 30 years later.

You should also check out his performance of Superstitious from that same episode.

Fairly cool for a kids show to embrace such great pop culture of the time. Pity there aren’t more artists like Stevie (not just soundalikes, but those who produce the amount, quality and range of music) today.

In any event, Muppet tie-in Tuesday, since it aired on Sesame Strett.

Enjoy!
