This isn’t very funny, but it was enough to make Jenn laugh this evening so that’s good enough for me. While we were finishing up our after-dinner walk I saw two Cardinals, a male and female, courting one another in a tree. I mentioned to Jenn that the male Cardinal was so much prettier and brighter colored than it’s female counterpart. She reminded me that almost all male birds (Cardinals, Peacocks, Blue Jays) are prettier than their mates.

Her scientific observation led me to one conclusion: birds are nature’s metrosexuals. See? I told you it wasn’t very funny.
