Hail to the King, Baby!

Jenn and I had to drop off the animals at the kennel this morning since we’re going out of town for the weekend. We’ll be staying in Gatlinburg, TN with most of my extended family for a relaxing yet fun weekend. Check out the accomodations! I’m looking forward to the rest and relaxation, just not the Atlanta traffic and mountainous driving it will take to get there. 🙂

So after dropping off the dog and cats at the kennel we decided to jump on the highway to get to work. Why? I don’t know, but you’d think with my aversion to interstate driving and the fact that I’ve got, like, 5 hours of it coming up tonight I’d avoid I-75 like the plague. You’d be wrong.

The ride was actually quite pleasant and there wasn’t nearly as much traffic as I had expected. There was even one small surprise that made me grin. While on the ramp to the highway and for several miles soutbound on 75, I was following a painter’s truck, complete with ladders and buckets. The driver kept looking nervously in his rearview and sideview mirrors and I got a clear view of his face: it was Bruce Campbell. Not the real Bruce Campbell, mind you, but someone who was a dead ringer for Mr. Evil Dead himself. It actually looked like a Brisco County Jr. era Campbell, but that’s splitting hairs. It still made my day.
