Immedia

Henry Copeland, the man behind Blogads, coins the term Immedia today thus sweeping away all the other inaccurate and unwieldy monikers for blogging, vlogging, podcasting et al.

A few of my former favorites include:

WEdia
Consumer-Generated Media (which Henry debunks in his MediaPost article)
Personal media
Citizens’ media
Media 2.0
Micromedia

Immedia is all of these things and more. It’s the constant churning conversation of the 21st century. It’s the Cluetrain conversation that has no beginning and no end (but a Long Tail).

Immedia. The right phrase for all of this that we now do online.

Thanks, Henry.
