On Reading Books

So after I finished reading three books during our Summer vacation, I decided to heap more responsibility upon myself and start reading more books. I know, I know. I’m a glutton for punishment.

I initially thought I’d read both of the Dan Brown books I have in my posession: The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. But I’m not good at the whole follow through thing, so when my mother-in-law loaned me her copy of Augusten BurroughsDry, I started reading it instead. It’s an amazing story of alcoholism, recovery and the snarky behavior of a gay advertising creative. Fascinating stuff. The book, that is, and not my inability to focus on one tome at a time.

Here is the part of the story where my manic nature rears it’s ugly head. I started reading ANOTHER book just this morning. Terry Pratchett’s delightful The Light Fantastic.
