Lost: Dharma Initiative login

There are more than a few official and unofficial Lost sites out there vying for your attention concerning The Dharma Initiative. Here is my brief breakdown of a few of these sites.

For those of you searching for more clues to the Dharma Initiative login, found at Dharma Initiative (http://www.thedharmainitiative.info/) – also linked from Dharma Industries (http://www.dharmaindustries.com/) – I’ve got some clues.

First, Dennis in the comments section of another Lost post, points out this handy, dandy hotspot graphic (or this alternate graphic, which works better for me) for all you hopless clickers. I can never seem to get any of them to work, but others are reporting success.

There’s another unofficial Dharma Initiative site at The Dharma Initiative (http://thedharmainitiative.org/). Here there is an even more vexing login screen that appears, at last check, to be pretty unbreakable. All I know is that if you click the Swan you get the Orientation video. Help is welcome and encouraged.

As for official sites, if you try to go to the secure server of the Hanso Foundation (official Lost viral site), you get a text link to
http://www.bigspaceship1.com/. BigSpaceship1.com features a flash animation of two bears and some morse code in the page title:

… — — . – .. — . … / .- / .–. — .-.. .- .-. / -… . .- .-. / .. … / .— ..- … – / .- / .–. — .-.. .- .-. / .–. . .- .-.

Here’s the translation of that morse code:

Sometimes / A / Polar / Bear / Is / Just / A / Polar / Pear

“Sometimes a Polar Bear is just a Polar Pear”

Doesn’t make sense to me, but I’m not the producers of Lost. Maybe it works as a code on oceanicflight815.com?

No dice. I tried ’sometimesapolarbearisjustapolarpear’ and ’sometimesapolarbearisjustapolarbear’ – neither worked.

UPDATE: Hunter Maxim in the comments notes that Big Spaceship1.com has changed it’s cryptic message to the following morse code:

He translates the message as the following: “In girum imus nocte et consumimur igni”

Information on this riddle of a Latin palindrome here.

“We go into the circle by night and we are consumed by fire.”

Or, alternatively:

This famous maccaronic verse, called “the devil’s verse”, is a riddle in the form of a palindrome – literally a puzzle inside a puzzle… It means “we wander in the night, and are consumed by fire” or “we enter the circle after dark and are consumed by fire” and is said to describe the movement of months. Some others believe that it is about the ‘mayfly’, that insect that circles the fire only to be consumed by flame.

Perhaps instead of polar bears we should be concerned about mayflys or the 540-day stay for those in the hatch? Who knows at this point.

UPDATE II: Malakai, in the comments of another post, notes that the Flash file of Dharma Initiative (http://www.thedharmainitiative.info/), upon his inspection, only has 3 hotspots and never resolves. One site down, just the login/password of The Dharma Initiative (http://thedharmainitiative.org/) to go. If you’ve got clues, this would be the place to post them.

UPDATE III: If you keep mousing over the area around 7 o’clock at http://www.dharmaindustries.com/ you’ll eventually get to a screen that looks like the computer terminal inside the hatch. Enter the numbers and you’ll receive a prompt asking for a “Member ID”. I’m thinking it’s the name of the dude who “rescued” Desmond, but I don’t recall his name. Anyone?

dunno if this means anything, but the following text flashes up on the hanso foundation website when you right click then play. it can also be highlighted with a little patience. have no idea what it means though. text is:

After noticing the post about the jibberish writing at the bottom of the Hanso website, i decided to look for myself.
I wrote out the series of letters, and letter by letter, decoded it.
I came up with this:
“This is not your fault. As you once shouted at the top of your lungs,
we’ve all got “blood on our hands.” I just hope my friend is resting easy.

Where are you? I’ll need you to meet me in Norway”

I’ve been thinking it might be a message from Alvar Hanso? Or maybe a message to him, especially since it asks “where are you?”

on entering the website 3 green lines in the shape of some fsort of symbol apper with what looks like the number 3. underneath it say emergence…the cycle has begun. i clicked on this and other parts of the page but that seems 2 b it!!!

Apparently Charlie Widmore-father to Mrs Penny Widmore, has his own company called Widmore laboritorys! These guys, as mentioned on their own site, are the sole suppliers of food and medication to the Dharma initiative! Whats more, a look back at the scene with the real ‘Henry Gale’s’ hotair balloon, shows the Widmore labs logo on the side!

I’m not sure exactly what this means, but it kinda explains how it is Penny knows how to look for Desmond! Her father didn’t like Des much! Did he ship him off to the island to get rid of him? Also-was the Widmore lab balloon actually looking for the island? Survalance or something? And if Widmore labs are the suppliers of the Dharma food, they must know how to find the island to do the food drops!

In conclusion, I think its safe to say the Island isn’t as invisible as it seems! Their are alot of people who seem to know of its existence, and who are actively visiting the island!

It seems pretty real-the normal audio has been replaced with static, but the quality and layout of the film seem authentic.

When i got down onto my hands and knees and crawled right into the corner I found their was a very small piece of chocolate-probably a crumb from something I was eating a few weeks before. At first I thought it was the dead and curled up remains of an ear-wig, but a taste test confirmed it to be chocolate. I put it into a small plastic bag and sealed it, and then posted it to BBC’s complaints department, along with the legal documentation required to start the ’sueing’ process. Just saw all 6 episodes of season 3

It seems Hanso takes a second place to the rest now. So far the best episodes yet…. Many questions again left unanswered.

Has anyone heard about the film coming out in FEB? its called CLOVERFIELDS, directed by J.J.abrahms and the trailor for it is on youtube. WATCH IT! NOW!

RIght, OK. Now then, if you have season 1 of lost on dvd put the dvd in your dvd player and watch the first episode where the survivors encounter the ‘monster’. You will no doubt notice a half similarity between the two sounds both monsters make.
Keep watching, after the return from the cockpit jack/kate and the rest of them are stood on the beach. There is a point just before kate/jacks dialogue where a conversation between two extras takes place. It goes somthing like this:

“That sound, it seemed familiar”
“Where do you come from?”
“The Bronks”

Ahha, got it yet?

Notice that the trailor for the film CLOVERFIELDS is set in the Bronks, a district of new york. You can tell because of the building style and the fact that the ‘explosion’ comes from the south as the ‘monster’ has decapitated the statue of liberty and throws it northwards. You can tell this because of the sheer number of buildings between the camera and the explosion and the fact that there are no high rise buildings south of the statue.

Am i talking rubbish or is there at least a slight link between the two scenarios?

Why would J.J bother including the LOST extras piece of diologue if it didnt mean anything?

Any ideas i would love gto hear about…

The dharma industries site is different now. when every you type in something in the login the page resets its self. There is nothing in the source of the page that say anything. Btw none of the sites you posted work any more
