Don’t ask me how, but I just found out that 80’s character actor and current ER nurse Gedde Watanabe has a psuedonym. It turns out Mr. Watanabe’s given first name is Gary.

Ponder that one for a second. Try saying the name “Gary” in Watanabe’s signature Japanese accent (think 16 Candles).

Got it yet? No? Keep trying.

This is such a blatant misuse of a negative stereotype it only makes me angrier that I didn’t capitalize on it first. Too bad there aren’t any good Croatian parts out there, or I’d impugn my racial heritage for fame and fortune.
