Henry Copeland was here

Henry Copeland of Blogads was here.

Well, not on this blog, though he does read it occassionally if I comment on his writings or trackback his posts. No, he was here in Atlanta today and I had the good fortune to have drinks with him at The Vortex before he flew back to North Carolina.

It would be presumptuous of me to try and chronicle our entire conversation, but needless to say we discussed a myriad of half-baked ideas/money-making schemes/napkin-scrawled business plans.

Rather than try to reproduce everything here, I’ll just spout off a laundry list of most of our topics of conversation.

Books:
The Innovator’s Dilemma
The Tipping Point

TV:
Lost
Seinfeld
Gilmore Girls
Everybody Hates Chris

Blogs/Bloggers:
Jeff Jarvis of Buzzmachine.com
Steve Rubel of Micropersuasion.com
Nick Denton & Gawker
Ed Cone
Engadget
Seth Godin

Podcasts:
Church of the Customer

Vlogs:
RocketBoom
Bicycle Sidewalk (My cousin Nathan)
Tiki Bar TV

I’m sure we meandered a few other places like Cafe Press, Google’s Video Search, Immedia and TiVo. I’m also sure that Henry is a bright, interesting fellow who stoked my creative fires and made me want to be a revolutionary.

Thanks, Henry! I look forward to seeing you again soon and drinking a few more pints of Sweetwater 420.

Oh, and if I forgot something crucial, let me know and I’ll blog it.
